Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial arts athlete who is a part of the UFC for the Flyweight Division, is in Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the win in the second round by TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of 3-1. Shevchenko was forced to take a time off from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa in a unanimous decision and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Antonina accepted a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight following her first bout by a an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski, and then losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
