Vinita Nair
In July of 2004 she joined the station and covered a variety of stories, such as investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed to ABC News in December 2007 as a reporter/anchor on ABC News Now. As part of her role as a correspondent, she delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair served as co-anchor on World News Now, America This Morning and ABC's digital channel beginning on September 17th of 2008 until February 18th, 2011. On both shows, she was initially paired together with Jeremy Hubbard. Later she collaborated with Rob Nelson. Nair made it clear on Thursday 17 February 2011 that her final night of broadcasting at World News Now would be on Friday, February 18th. This would also be her final day on ABC News. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her direct successor. In the February 18 issue of World News Now paid tribute to Nair throughout its three segments. The show also included appearances by former and current coworkers, such as Jeremy Hubbard. In her final morning the crew was treated by Nair to a delectable breakfast.
