Alinity was a plaintiff in a suit against Twitch. Erik Estavillo is a California Twitch member who filed a lawsuit against Twitch for damages in the amount of $25 million. The user claimed the site exposed him sexually explicit videos by female streamers. Based on court papers that were obtained through Dexerto the plaintiff who had previously filed suit against Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment, presented his formal complaint in court on June 15 seeking to file a lawsuit. Twitch was served an official summons on the 19th of June. Estavillo is one of the men who, as per his complaint to Santa Clara Superior Court of California submitted on June 15 was suffering from obsessive/compulsive problems as well as sexual addiction, among other medical problems that make him dependent on the internet to stay entertained. The complaint further claims that Twitch exacerbates these conditions. The complaint then went on to identify a variety of female streamers that it says "continues to provide viewers with a wide range of content that they just want to see players playing games on Twitch however, they are confronted by sexually addictive materials and material on a continuous and frequent basis." Alinity did not appear on the list. In its request for relief, it is seeking to permanently block all streamers who violated Twitch Terms of Service. $25 million in compensation is sought, "to be divided between plaintiff and the other Twitch prime Turbo Subscribers" with the remainder going to charity.
